Research & Development
Current Projects at OSM

MVIS (Maritime Vessel Identification System)

Command Decision Aid
Further research is being done to enhance MVIS to provide identikit computer aided target recognition and provide domain awareness visualisation from the Behavioural Analyzer.

VRS

VRS research is continuing to expand the existing automated vessel recognition system. Advanced imaging algorithms to improve recognition performance and to enable aircraft recognition.

Analysis Workstation
The analysis workstation is being developed to allow for the maintenance of the fusion and automated vessel recognition systems.

Behavioural Analyzer
The behavioural analyzer is being developed to allow data mining and infering vessel behaviour from disparate sources.

MSIS (Maritime Simulation Infrastructure System)

Visual Interface
A visual interface with the AWS HSE visualisation system is being developed to allow strategic views and ship perspective views of the game situation.

Radar Environmental Simulation Upgrades
MSIS is upgrading the atmospheric model to support high fidelity radar simulation.

Autonomous Vehicle Behavioural Models
MSIS is developing an autonomous vehicle controller, with client access to vehicle behaviour.

Multigamming Interface Upgrades

Capability Tools

FELIX
Production C++ version for simulation/embedded use.

Top CAT
Top CAT development is leading to the development of a systems level simulation. Using and AI engine Top CAT will be able to show the flow on effects of faults as well as being able to trace back from indicators.

Legion
Legion provides a group or organisational capability level on top of Felix.

Centurion
Centurion prototype for the assessment of personnel capability and experience. This product provides for the management of organisational staff and provides input to Felix.
